Fatty is the founder of Fattys Tattoos and Piercings, a self-taught artist who has been tattooing since 1992. He opened his first shop in Maryland in 1994 and has since grown the business to three locations across Washington DC and Maryland. Fatty is one of the most decorated tattoo artists in the region, earning numerous convention awards for best backpiece, best sleeve, best black and gray and best overall. He specializes in biomechanical, Japanese, mythological and fantasy themes, as well as animal realism. A nationally recognized figure in the body art industry, Fatty has been featured on Good Morning America, NPR, CNN, The Washington Post and other major outlets, and has played a leading role in passing body art legislation in both Maryland and Washington DC.
