Age & ID Requirements

Tattoo AGE REQUIREMENT

You must be at least 18 years of age to get tattooed at any Fatty’s location.

ID REQUIREMENT

You must present a state or federal ID in order to receive tattoo services at Fattys. Here are the forms of ID we accept:

• Valid government issued ID card
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport
• Military issued ID card
• Permanent Resident Alien ID card

PIERCING AGE REQUIREMENT

You must be at least 18 years of age to get pierced in Washington DC. Certain piercings can be preformed on minors (under 18) in Maryland.

You must present a state or federal ID in order to receive piercing services at Fattys.

• Valid government issued ID card
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport
• Military issued ID card
• Permanent Resident Alien ID card

MINOR (UNDER 18) PIERCING ID & DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS 

Fatty’s offers minor (under 18) piercing services with a parent or legal guardian present out of our Silver Spring, Maryland location (minor piercings are illegal in Washington DC). The parent or guardian must present their federal or state issued ID, the minor’s federal or state issued ID AND the minor child’s original birth certificate (certified copies accepted). Failure to present proper ID for all parties may result in the loss of your service reservation fee. Minors must be able to verbally consent to the procedure and must show respect to their parents/guardians and the piercer while at Fatty’s. All minor piercings are done at the discretion of the piercer.

Here are the acceptable forms of ID for minors (under 18) we accept. Minor must present a birth certificate (certified copies accepted) in addition to one of the following:

• Valid government issued ID card
• Valid passport
• Permanent Resident Alien ID card
